Nigeria’s Africa Cup of Nations campaign started on a winning note on Saturday as they managed a 1-0 win against Burundi.
Nigeria struggled for long periods in the opening game of Group B at the Alexandria Stadium but managed to get away with all three points in the 77th minute thanks to a lone goal from Odion Ighalo.
Nigeria hopes to improve on their performance against Guinea on Wednesday, while Burundi would be playing Madagascar the next day.
