Yemi Alade Receives YouTube’s “Gold Play Button” Award

The world’s most visited digital streaming platform, YouTube has given Nigerian power-house queen, Yemi Alade the honorary Golden Play Button for exceeding one million subscribers on her YouTube channel.

Yemi Alade who newly collaborated with American artiste Beyoncé on her most recent album “The Lion King: The Gift”, received the award from YouTube during a grand ceremony, not more than a month after becoming the first female Afro-pop/Afrobeats artiste to earn over one million YouTube subscribers. Yemi Alade is presently setting up to release her next studio album titled “Woman of Steel”.
